Mr. Mukhtar A. Ogle is currently Secretary, Strategic Initiatives and Development in the Department of Cabinet Affairs Office in the Executive Office of the President of Kenya.
Mr. Ogle has previously served as the National Coordinator, the National Assessment Center and Exchange Program at the Kenya National Examination Council. He is a trained teacher, examination assessment and management expert with over 20 years’ experience. He has extensive knowledge and demonstrated experience in the education sector, having grown from a teacher to Principal Examinations Secretary and National Coordinator in the Education Sector as long serving educationalist.
Mr. Ogle has a Masters in Public Administration (Harvard University) and Fellowship in Public Policy Analysis and Management from Harvard Kennedy School of Government, USA. He also has M.A. in Community Studies from Loughborough University, United Kingdom in addition to Bachelor of Education (Arts) from Kenyatta University.
Mr. Ogle has a proven record of managing complex projects within the country and cross border communities within the education sector, peace building, and securing resilience by providing leadership and strategic direction. Mr. Ogle has demonstrated exemplary leadership on oversight for project management, strategic vision, fiscal integration, and overall coordination with partners. He has managed and mentored staff, established youth networks across all the 47 counties in Kenya and mentored thousands of youths who are now champions in peacebuilding, innovation, and successful entrepreneurs. Some of the youth he has worked with have received state commendations as change makers in the community.
