Raffaela Iuliano is a Consultant for the Inclusion, Rights and Intercultural Dialogue Section of UNESCO’s Social and Human Sciences Sector. Over the past two years, she has focused on thematic priorities such as intercultural dialogue, anti-discrimination, and inclusive digital transformation.
Her work includes leading projects such as the development and pre-launch of the UNESCO guide More than Welcome: Intercultural Integration of Migrants In and Through Higher Education and coordinating a two-day high-level academic workshop on embedding intercultural competences into the DigComp framework, helping shape strategic guidance on inclusive digital practices.
Raffaela has also been involved in establishing the UNESCO’s Network of Anti-Racism and Anti-Discrimination Officials, since its inception and has helped steer its engagement at the Global Forum Against Racism and Discrimination. She has also played a key role in youth-focused programming, including the ICCAR Youth Boot Camps and the Master Class Series against Racism and Discriminations.
She holds an MPhil in Heritage Studies from the University of Cambridge and a first class BSc in Anthropology from University College London (UCL), with a year at UCLA (University of California, Los Angeles).
